Shah Rukh Khan is finally slowing down, at least for the time being, after admitting that he really needs a break. The actor is in London with wife Gauri and kids, Aryan and Suhana. He flew there directly after the IIFA awards in Toronto, and even hobnobbed with pop group The Black Eyed Peas backstage during their concert. Later this month, he is expected to undergo a knee surgery in Mumbai “I’ve been told by the family not to start work on any new film for the next three-four months till RA.One is out,” says the star. “It’s been a hectic time, I need a breather.”
‘Mentor’ Yash Chopra plans to launch his directorial comeback only around November, while Vishal Bhardwaj’s Two States is yet to be finalized even though SRK has been "patiently waiting" for him. "Shah Rukh has been busy with RA.One, now as it gets into the final stages of post-production, he wants to be a part of every process without any distractions," says a source. "He’s already informed filmmakers that he’ll start work on his new films only after Diwali."

In fact, due to technicalities involved, he was not able to focus on his recently released small budget film, Always Kabhi Kabhi (AKK). Says the actor-producer, “Always Kabhi Kabhi and RA.One are at different ends of the spectrum. I didn’t expect Always Kabhi Kabhi to take the box office by storm but I expect India’s most expensive film, RA.One to open well whether people like it or not.”
