It’s been about a month since the much speculated wedding of Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan took place, and now another Bollywood wedding is in the offing as actor Vidya Balan and beau Siddharth Roy Kapur (inset), MD, Studios - Disney UTV, finally get set to walk the aisle.

Though the couple have chosen to stay mum on their plans, sources reveal that preparations are on in full swing. As reported earlier, the Palakkad-born actor will have a Punjabi-style sangeet on December 11, followed by an early morning Tamil wedding at a south Indian temple on December 14, followed by a reception.

“Siddharth and Vidya both want to keep it very private so she’s inviting only very very close friends and family,” says a friend of Balan’s sister Priya, on conditions of anonymity. However, word has it that Balan is getting her entire bridal wear as well as her trousseau designed by none other than her pet designer, Sabyasachi Mukherjee, who will design 18 saris for the trousseau and her family. The saris will be in traditional Indian wedding colours.

“All the saris will be in pure Chennai silk and he is himself going to Chennai to source the silk. In Tamil weddings, there’s a change in sari for different rituals during the wedding so she has two bridal saris, both warm-shaded silks and Sabya’s doing some exquisite work on them. The cholis will be very traditional,” says a source. The couple will then head to the Caribbean Islands for their honeymoon. Post wedding, they will move into their sea facing flat Parineeta on Juhu Tara Road. While this is Balan's first marriage, reportedly it's Kapur's third.
