The reputation of a successful filmmaker, Bobby Bedi, who’s known for making films like Guru, Maqbool, Bandit Queen and Mangal Pandey is at stake. Buzz is that he has not paid the music composers of his film, Stone Man Murders, Siddharth and Suhas. The film was released a few months ago.

The music directors were promised their dues during the release of the film but ever since the release, Bedi and his assistants stopped taking their calls. Worse, Bedi has closed down his Andheri office. The music directors are in a fix and don’t know what to do.

Apart from one song, the duo had even recorded one promotional song and scored the background music for the film. They were also assured that a video would be specially shot for their song besides adequate publicity for the upcoming music directors.

Initially, they were reluctant to speak on the matter. A bit of prodding and Siddharth admitted that Bedi hasn’t yet paid their dues. He says, “He’s a renowned filmmaker. We were sure that our dues would be settled. So we didn’t worry about our remuneration. We reminded him about it only after the release.”

We tried to get in touch with Bedi. But there was no response to our calls and SMSes.
