Here’s a look at celebrities hot on cricket legend Sachin Tendulkar’s heels.

Even as the cricketing legend waits to hit his impending hundredth international century in cricket, here’s an altogether different achievement that’s arrived just short of the little master’s 38th birthday on April 24. Sachin Tendulkar has gone past his rivals on Twitter to breach the 1-million-followers mark.

Sachin’s current Twitter follower count stands at 10,06,017 — that’s 18,000 followers higher than Shashi Tharoor, who comes in second in the list with 9,87,616 followers.

Still, it must be noted that Tendulkar is hardly the most active user on the website. He has all of 237 tweets since he joined the micro-blogging site on April 21, 2010. Tharoor on the other hand, has 5,137 tweets and has been posting since March 19, 2009.

Priyanka Chopra ranks third in the list with 9,60,164 followers and 4,700-odd updates followed by Shah Rukh Khan at number four with 8,63,354 twitter members reading his updates. Bollywood stalwart Amitabh Bachchan comes in the fifth position with 7,22,270 regular readers on the website.

However, the Bachchans lead the way in the list for the most prolific updates. Junior and senior Bachchan at 11,089 and 7,776 tweets respectively are miles ahead of the others. Oddly enough, Vivek Oberoi, who is nowhere as popular with a relatively meagre 155,217 followers, already has 12,998 tweets to his name.
