The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are trendsetters down south in India. Telegu star Ram Charan Teja, who is the son of veteran actor Chiranjeevi, and and Apollo group heiress Upasana Kamineni’s power wedding in Hyderabad today derives inspiration from the 2011 royal wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.
Just as Will-Kat had set up a charitable gift fund for guests to donate to instead of buying presents, Ram-Upasana have requested attendees to not bring costly gifts and instead donate to Upasana’s charity, Save A Child’s Heart.
“The wedding is not just for the couple but for the entire state and its people. Both of them have been involved in charity and will be undertaking several activities to help the needy,” says a source close to the couple.
Charan’s Zanjeer co-star Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Shruti Haasan and Rana Dagubatti are the Bollywood guests on the list.
