Shopaholics sit up and take note. American luxury accessories brand, Leiber, renowned for its beautiful handcrafted minaudières and exotic leather handbags, is coming to India. Frank Zambrelli, President and Creative Director of Leiber, announced that the company has tied up with Marigold Impex, a private distribution company based in India.
He says,"Leiber is a 44-year-old American brand that epitomises the last word in luxury when it comes to handbags. We're known for our novelty pieces and exquisite evening bags. On our 45th anniversary, we decided to come to India." In addition to handbags, the company also designs exquisite eyewear. "We will be targeting fashion-conscious women who appreciate the finer details of style," Zambrelli adds.
Leiber's tryst with the Indian market will begin with trunk shows and events in Delhi and Mumbai. A Leiber store will open in Delhi in early 2008.
