Eva Mendes' mom is her biggest fashion critic

Actress Eva Mendes, who is courting controversy for her Calvin Klein ad, says her mother is her biggest fashion critic and never lets go a chance to criticise her for her outfits.

Mendes' mother also scolds her for not being more lady like.

Contactmusic.com quoted Mendes as saying: "Every time I walk the red carpet, she'll say, 'Oh, the hair was a bit too much,' or she'll comment on the shoes. I know she's just looking out for my best interests, wanting her daughter to shine."

The Calvin Klein ad is banned by some TV networks in the US.
