Designers sent mouth-watering ensembles inspired by and made out of chocolate down the runway at Salon du Chocolate festival in Paris. Check out some of the best creations below.

Salon Du Chocolat festival is a fashion event with a difference. The annual gala in Paris made wearable chocolate (we’re not totally clear on the science/germ factor behind wearing chocolate and how it would not melt upon bodily contact, or even if it’s edible) a thing.

The festival- with over 500 participants from more than 60 countries - featured a fashion show that paired chocolatiers with fashion designers to create couture dresses. The pieces were on display at an exhibition in the city of lights, between October 28 and November 1.

The garments were nothing short of incredible. Although, the fashions weren’t entirely made out of chocolate - they just featured it heavily, and the overall aesthetic for each was inspired by chocolate.

Social media was suitably impressed with the works, which ranged from strapless princess gown numbers to more avant garde creations.
