India Mens Week goes bigger

Tarun Tahiliani will make his debut at the event on the first day, while the grand finale will see garments from filmmaker Karan Johar and designer Varun Bahl.

Well-known designer Arjun Khanna will inaugurate the third edition of Van Heusen India Mens Week (VHIMW), while Tarun Tahiliani and 15 other leading designer labels will showcase their collection at the three days extravaganza that starts Sep 2.

Tahiliani will make his debut at the event on the first day, while the grand finale will see immaculate, well-tailored garments from filmmaker Karan Johar and designer Varun Bahl under their label Karan Johar+Varun Bahl.

Abhishek Gupta, Abraham & Thakore, Anky by Ankita & Anjana Bhargav, Ashish N. Soni, Krishna Mehta, Manoviraj Khosla, Rajesh Pratap Singh, Rajvi Mohan, Rohit & Abhishek, Rohit Gandhi+Rahul Khanna, Sanchita, Shantanu & Nikhil, Troy Costa and Zubair Kirmani are the other participating designers.

Interestingly this VHIMW will also sees an increased participation of women designers who are into menswear like Anjana Bhargav, Sanchita Ajjampur, Krishna Mehta and Rajvi Mohan.

"Designers form the epicentre of every fashion week and this time it shall be no different. We are extremely happy to announce the list of participating designers for the forthcoming event. The third edition of Van Heusen India Mens Week is ready to showcase the best ensembles created in menswear category. I wish them all the very best," Sunil Sethi, president of event organiser Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) said in a statement.
