Recently, producer Madhu Mantena and fashion designer Masaba Gupta made heads turn when they walked hand in hand to Shahid Kapoor’s birthday bash on February 25, making their relationship public.
Now, Masaba’s mother, actor Neena Gupta, says that the couple might just get engaged soon.
“I don’t think they’ll get married soon. As for the engagement, it could be very much on the cards. The two families have met. Masaba and Madhu are serious about each other,” says Neena.
Madhu and Masaba have been dating for a few months and according to a source, will have their engagement ceremony at a five-star hotel in Juhu.
“The hotel has been booked for a grand function to be held in March,” adds the source.
Happy with her daughter’s decision, Neena says, “Masaba believes in the institution of marriage. I am very happy for her. She didn’t tell me about Madhu as soon as she started dating him. But then, which kid tells his or her parents immediately?”
In the past Madhu has dated actor Nandana Sen for nine years. He was also linked with model-turned-actor Mugdha Godse.
