Parker is not a fashion freak

Sex and The City star Sarah Jessica Parker says she doesn't always dress as stylishly as fans hope.

Sarah Jessica Parker, the star of the hit TV show "Sex and The City", is not fashion conscious and disappoints fans when she meets them on the street because they find her clothes and shoes unfashionable.

The actress, who was named the Designers of America Fashion Icon at the height of her success in the TV show, admits she doesn't always dress as stylishly as fans hope, reported Contactmusic.com

She said: "Often I'll go to the market, and women will say to me, 'Let me see your shoes.' And then I show them I'm wearing flip-flops. I'm old now, I can't run around in heels when I go to the market for my son's yoghurt."
