Shahid returns to the ramp

Young star last walked the runway six years ago with his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor for Manish Malhotra

It’s been six years since Shahid Kapoor last walked the ramp.

In 2007, he did so for Manish Malhotra, when his ex-girlfriend Kareena Kapoor and he showcased the designer’s collection at a fashion week event. And now, later this month, the actor is going to make a comeback to the runway as a showstopper at an upcoming fashion week for his designer-friend, Kunal Rawal. Shahid, who shares a close bond with Kunal, gets a lot of his wardrobe designed by him. “So when Kunal asked Shahid if he would walk the ramp for him, he didn’t even have to think twice before agreeing,” says a source close to the actor.

However, Shahid won’t be walking the ramp alone. He will be joined by Arjun Kapoor, who is also the showstopper at the Lakme Fashion Week event that will take place on March 23. The Ishaqzaade (2012) actor is Kunal’s childhood friend. On being contacted, Shahid confirms the news, while his spokesperson adds, “Yes, Shahid returns to the ramp after almost six years for Kunal Rawal.”
