Sonam Kapoor is all set for a ‘fashionable’ dinner in Milan. In January Sonam visited the Elie Saab Paris Couture Week on the special invitation of French haute couturer, Jean Paul Gaultier, who dressed her for the Dubai premiere of her film, Players. Now, the actor will be attending Couture Week in Milan from February 22. And the highpoint of her visit to Italy’s fashion capital will be a dinner hosted by fashion house, Dolce & Gabbana.

“Sonam is really excited to get the invitation because she has always been a huge fan of the brand. She has already started preparing for it,” says a source close to the actor.

The Bollywood star who has become a style icon for many at the age of 26 confirms the news, adding that as India’s representative at the Milan Fashion Week, she will be attending shows of designers like Salvatore Ferragamo and Dolce & Gabbana. “And I will also be going for the D& G dinner, it’s a huge honour,” Sonam asserts.

Sonam will also make time for lunch at Ferragamo’s family home and meet the skilled shoemakers from the luxury brand, who will measure her feet for wooden lasts— an essential part of the famous Ferragamo shoe making process.



Earlier, in Paris too, Sonam dined at Gaultier’s residence, brushing shoulders with the who’s who of the fashion industry.

The fashionista will be gone for a week and after her return will start shooting for Rakyesh Om Prakash Mehra’s bio-pic, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag, with Farhan Akhtar.

Later, she will start work on Rajkumar Santoshi’s next movie.
