Traversing from the Central Asia to the Orient, the Silk Route provided designer duo Ashima-Leena the creative burst for their Spring/Summer 2008 collection for the WIFW Titled Resonance, the collection incorporates traditional e1ements like Japanese Shibori technique of tie-dye, the harem pants of Central Asia and vibrant hues and prints from the Orient.

The good thing about the duo is that they know their markets well, hence the designs are conceptualised accordingly Digital prints finely appliqued on the ensembles gave them a fluid fall and what seemed rather interesting was an ensemble that was a cross between a kimono and a kaftan.

Wrap blouses, panelled long skirt, minis and draped tops worked beautifully created a complete story And the best part was that every outfit worked well separately or could be paired with daring minis or conservative pants.
