Vivaha gets a grand opening

Celebrating Vivaha 2008 kicked off with a grand opening on at hotel Ashok, New Delhi on Friday, reports Deepti Kaul.

India's most spectacular wedding exhibition Celebrating Vivaha 2008 kicked off with a grand opening on Friday at hotel Ashok, New Delhi. This is the 6th year for the exhibition and things have just got better than before. As this time world's best brands in home luxury like Lladró, Villeroy & Boch, Harnn, Christofle, Rosenthal/Versace are in full attendance at the exhibition.

Starting with the Ludhiana exhibition that ran successfully from July 19, 20 and 21 at Majestic Park Plaza, Ludhiana, Celebrating Vivaha will host a number of exhibitions across the metropolises of India before moving to Dubai.

"When we first launched Celebrating Vivaha in 2003, I decided to test the wedding markets of the country's economic and political nerve-points: Mumbai and Delhi respectively. At that time, I could only imagine the challenges and successes that lay ahead," says Tarun Sarda, CEO.

With the passing of each year, Celebrating Vivaha has turned bigger and better than before, both in terms of quality and quantity of participants. Beauty clinics like VLCC and Kaya have introduced themselves to India's wedding market this year. "We are already catering to bridal requirements, it's just that most of the people are not aware of it. And above all who can ignore this big wedding market," says VLCC representative.

Even Preston Bailey, New York's famous wedding/event designer in collaboration with India's Ferns & Petals is present at the exhibition.
