The yuletide spirit is seen on the red carpet too as celebrities go all white this season
When most parts of the world are buried under snow, our favourite celebrities chose to be seen in all- white red carpet looks. Angelina Jolie was seen in a thigh-grazing cashmere gown, a white lace dress for Gwyneth Paltrow completed her yuletide look, Bollywood actress Tabu wore a white traditional salwar kameez, while Mughda Godse was seen in a floor length white dress.
Delhi might not see snow ever, nevertheless, you can take a cue from these versatile white looks and spread the Christmas spirit with your all-white ensemble. However, before you go ahead and get this dash of white in your wardrobe, we think our expert analysis of these four all-white looks will help you sail through when you wear white this season.
Our expert panel comprising designer JJ Valaya, fashion editor, Elle India, Malini Banerjee and stylist Nikhil D of Marie Claire India critique the four looks and give these celebrities pointers on how to improvise the looks while accessing how well they fare on the style meter in their own signature all-white look. Read on and take a cue.

"It’s a super sexy look. It is well balanced and chic. Only addition that I would recommend is may be more dramatic earrings."
Malini Banerji [8/10]
“A very sexy look. Maybe the slit could be a tad shorter, everything else is just perfect! The full sleeves of the outfit balance the slit and the plunging neckline.”
Nikhil D [5/10]
“It’s a very trademark Ms Jolie look. Only she can dare to wear a gown with a plunging neckline and showbare leg in a thigh high slit. Perhaps if the dress was part sheer, it would soften up her usual power play along with delicate gold jewellery.

“The dress is non-flattering, the hem is awry and the braids in the hair are too casual for an evening look. Hair could have been chicer. Smoky eyes would have worked wonders.”
Malini Banerji [3/10]
“Looks like part of a costume drama. Mughda has a fab body, wonder why is she hiding it underneath that volume of fabric.”
Nikhil D [2.5/10]
“There is nothing nice to say about this apart from the fact that she does look comfortable. The bump on the hair, the lulu braid peeping out, there is a lot that’s wrong.

“It’s a simple and relevant look for a day time appearance. Could have been accessorised a little better. The shoes could have been stronger to offset the simplicity of the dress.”
Malini Banerji [9/10]
“She looks chic in this nice structured dress. Its perfect. Just how one should be wearing it for a day event. Maybe she could have added a skinny belt.”
Nikhil D [6/10]
“Love the scallop hem and the minimalism on Gwyneth looks great with her blonde hair and lean body. I don’t like the powdery make up, stark-lined eyes and over the top cocktail ring. Recommend her to don her luminous skin with center parting of hair.

“It’s a controlled palette. The outfit could have been a better fit and a hint of glamour would have done wonders. A little more attention to detail could have made it better.”
Malini Banerji [6/10]
“It’s a classic clean and minimal look. Not offensive but also nothing spectacular. Maybe additional jewellery — not too chunky just tiny earrings.”
Nikhil D [4/10]
“The look is very understated even though it has gold accent that might be Tabu’s demure personality. The hair and make up is simple too, which is a plus with this look.
