Dispute turns violent, two shot dead, 1 hurt

Two persons were shot dead and one was critically injured when a group of six men barged into a house and sprayed bullets on them in Khod village in the wee hours of Thursday.

A dispute over a financial transaction is stated to be the cause of the attack.

A case has been registered against six persons under the Arms Act and for murder, the police said.

Injured Anil was sleeping at his deceased friend Mohinder’s residence. Their third friend Amit was also present at the house.

Around 4.30am, accused Ajay and Dinesh along with four others entered Mohinder’s house and fired at him and his two friends.

While Mohinder and Amit were killed on the spot, Anil sustained a bullet injury in his thigh.

The incident came to light when Anil’s uncle Suresh Singh woke up to give fodder to his animals and heard firing shots from Mohinder’s residence.

He rushed to the spot and saw four people going away in a Bolero.

Suresh saw Amit and Mohinder lying dead on the floor, while injured Anil was writhing in pain. Soon villagers gathered at the spot and the police was summoned.

Top police officials including Gurgaon police commissioner KK Sindhu, DCP Maheshwar Dayal and ACP Ravinder Tomar also reached the spot.

The SHO Pataudi arrived with a dog squad, team of forensic and fingerprint experts.

The bodies were sent to the civil hospital for a postmortem.

The case was registered on the statement of Anil’s uncle Suresh.

“The incident is a result of personal enmity,” said DCP Maheshwar Dayal.

According to police officials, injured Anil’s sister had married accused Ajay against the wishes of her family.

This had soured relations between the two. All the accused and the deceased are involved in criminal activities and six cases are already registered against each of them, the police said.
