“The Huda had given plots to only 16 traders out of 52 in Sector 33-34 in 2004. We are going to take up this issue in the court,” said a member of the association.

According to the association members, plots were given to undeserving persons. After Punjab and Haryana high court stayed its sealing drive, Huda is going all out to settle the issue amicably. “We are leaving no stone unturned to settle the matter outside the court. We have held meetings with the traders and told them justice will be done,” said Praveen Kumar, Huda administrator.

According to the traders, Huda officials have been ignoring these issues deliberately all these years as they knew that they would be in trouble if their “shady” deals come to light.
