Just two hours of rainfall on Thursday morning resulted in absolute chaos in Gurgaon, rendering major roads waterlogged and posh colonies like DLF and Sushant Lok flooded.

Many commuters took to social media to warn others about the water-logging and traffic congestion. Some of them criticised the authorities for failing to take appropriate steps to deal with the situation and even posted pictures of the traffic blockage.
Traffic was severely congested on many major roads and in some localities, people could not step out of their homes because of the water-logging.
When the Twitter account Traffline Delhi asked for suggestions to reach Gurgaon, one commuter satirically responded by saying that people should carry their boats.
On the Delhi Gurgaon Expressway, through which a large number of vehicles enter the Millennium City, a major traffic jam was reported from 8am onwards. There was a traffic jam on the Gurgaon – Faridabad Expressway too.
Localities like Mahipalpur Chowk and DLF Phase One and Two were completely water-logged and people found it difficult to step out of their homes.
Even as the peak morning traffic somehow passed, it is expected that there won't be much congestion throughout the day. However, during the evening rush hour there could be a repeat of the morning situation.
It remains to be seen what measures the Gurgaon authorities take to resolve the situation.
