Gurgaon: Two killed, one injured as gunmen open fire at property dealer’s office

Three property dealers were sitting at their office at Fazilpur crossing in Farrukh Nagar town, 25 km from Gurgaon, when the attackers arrived in a white Scorpio and opened fire

Two men were killed and one seriously injured when unidentified opened fire at a property dealer’s office in Farrukh Nagar town, 25 km from Gurgaon. Both the deceased were property dealers and were sitting inside the office of Ved Saini, a property dealer, at Fazilpur crossing when the assailants opened fire around 1 pm. Another property dealer survived, but sustained grave injuries.

A few others who were injured were initially taken to a health centre in Farrukhnagar, but were later referred to the civil hospital as their condition worsened.

Both the deceased and the injured hailed from Bhadsa in Jhajjar.

The attackers, who arrived in a Scorpio, also fired in the air to threaten locals before driving off.

Police said the attack could be the fallout of a financial dispute. Two mobile phones and multiple empty shells were recovered from the crime scene.

One of deceased has been identified as Sandeep, 29. He was shot in the head, chest and arm and succumbed to his injuries on the spot. The other has been identified as Ram Avtar, 30, who died in a hospital. The one who survived has been identified as Sunil alias Seenu. He was critically injured and was admitted to the Civil Hospital, Gurgaon.

She said Sunil told the police that the accused owed Rs 36 lakh for a property deal. Police teams have been dispatched to trace and nab the attackers, the officer said.

A large number of locals gathered at the scene after the incident. Soon, a posse of policemen reached the spot. They sounded an alert and stepped up checking to nab the culprits.
