The best way to keep yourself from getting drenched to the bone is to use a complete set of rain gear — a hooded raincoat, an umbrella and a pair of waterproof shoes.
2 Boiling point:
If you are outside home, opt for mineral water over tap water. At home, boil the water before drinking to kill the germs, or filter it.
3 Sweat it out:
If you get drenched in the rain, jog till you sweat. This will help in keeping the body temperature in check.
4 Wash hands:
To avoid catching a cold, wash your hands frequently with a medicated soap. Using a sanitiser would be useful, too.
5 Vitamin diet:
Supply your body with enough of Vitamin A and C. A healthy platter of steamed vegetables will help prevent the common cold virus.
