Mental well-being is as important as physical if health and safety executives are to be believed, for they will soon come up with a stress test for employees.

According to This is London, a research conducted by Health and Safety Executives revealed that over four in 10 teachers, more than three in ten nurses, and nearly a third of managers experience high levels of stress.
Bosses are now being told to carry out risk assessments similar to those used to prevent accidents at work and staff will be asked to rate several areas of their working lives, such as workload, control and support.
'Stress is an excess of the sort of pressure that might otherwise be healthy at work. We come across situations where people are experiencing such a degree of pressure it's actually leading to illness, HSE spokesman Peter Morgan was quoted as saying.
