Producers have asked Bruni, who is married to French president Nicholas Sarkozy, to accept a role after she wrote to Hollywood executives telling them she was a fan of the show, Telegraph reported online.
Carol Mendolson, a producer from the show, said she was preparing to make a two-hour long CSI television movie set in Paris.
"Carla Bruni wrote to us to say she absolutely adored our show. So we would be delighted to offer her a part in our CSI film set in France," Mendolson said.
CSI follows Las Vegas criminalists as they use physical evidence to solve grisly murders.
However, the producers may regret the decision as Bruni is said to have given almost 32 retakes in five hours to film a scene in Woody Allen's upcoming film Midnight In Paris.
