Gulzaar a plagiarist?

Ibn-e-Batuta, the hit song from Ishqiya, has landed Gulzaar into a controversy with the lyricist being accused of plagiarism.

, has landed Gulzaar into a controversy with the lyricist being accused of plagiarism.



Shubha Saxena, daughter of the late Hindi poet Sarveshwar Dayal Saxena, has accused Gulzaar of lifting the words of his father’s poem

Ibn-e-Batuta pehen ke joota

for his latest song.



“This is copyright issue. Just because my father is no more doesn’t mean they can take the credit away from him,” said Shubha.
