French actor Jean Dujardin, who won an Oscar this year for Best Actor in The Artist, is reportedly in talks to star in Martin Scorsese's upcoming drama The Wolf Of Wall Street.
The 39-year-old actor is courted to play a suave Swiss banker named Jean-Jacques Handali. The character is involved in laundering illicit funds for the lead protagonist's firm. The actor will join Leonardo DiCaprio, Jonah Hill and Kyle Chandler in the film, reported Aceshowbiz.
Adapted from Jordan Belfort's memoirs, The Wolf Of Wall Street revolves around a Long Island penny stockbroker who served 20 months in prison for refusing to cooperate in a 1990s securities fraud case. Penning the script is Boardwalk Empire scribe Terence Winter.
After starring in critically acclaimed silent film The Artist, Dujardin will direct, write and star in a French comedy movie called The Players. He is also attached to Eric Rochant's French spy thriller Mobius, which also stars Tim Roth.
