Hollywood actor James Franco is reprioritising his life. And acting has taken a backseat in the process. The 127 Hours actor plans to turn down films in order to concentrate on studies. “I want to focus on my studies which are a very important part of my life, I love studying. Therefore, I think I’ll have to slowly turn down roles if I have to pursue studies,” the 33-year-old actor says.

Franco, who is busy promoting his new film Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes, co-starring Indian actor Freida Pinto, is however wary of the critics. “Critics will be out to kill this movie just because they are out to kill me. I don’t really feel the same way about Rise of the Planet of the Apes as I do about 127 Hours or Milk. It was a different kind of acting,” he says. Franco is currently taking classes at Yale University, and has also joined the University of Houston to study literature and creative writing. He will apply for a PhD at the university as well.
