The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel selected for annual Royal Film Performance
The cast of the sequel to the 2012 film — The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel — which boasts of a cast including Indian actors such as Lillete Dubey, and Hollywood biggies such as Richard Gere, will meet the British royal family at the screening in February next year.
The upcoming British comedy-drama film, The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel, directed by John Madden, has been selected for Britain’s annual Royal Film Performance.
The cast of the sequel to the 2012 film — The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel — which boasts of a cast including Indian actors such as Lillete Dubey, and Hollywood biggies such as Richard Gere, will meet the British royal family at the screening in February next year.
Actor Tina Desai, who also stars in the film alongwith actor Dev Patel, says, “I am deeply honoured and ecstatic, and hope that they like it. The film showcases the big fat Indian wedding and Indian culture, and the cast has thrown itself into it with an exuberance that the audience will love. (I’m) excited.” Parts of the film were also shot in India.
