The film has been generating buzz on the festival circuit, having won the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival.

Based on the 1993 novel Tony and Susan by Austin Wright, the revenge thriller is fashion designer Ford’s second film after A Single Man.

The plot revolves around Adams’ character, a woman in her second marriage who is convinced her ex-husband is out to get her after reading his novel, a violent thriller.

The film has been generating buzz on the festival circuit, having won the Grand Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival. It was screened last week at the Toronto International Film Festival.

The film also stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Michael Shannon.
