Independence Day preparations: Pride and valour in full gusto at Delhi's Red Fort, ahead of August 15

Vermilion red hues fill Delhi’s patriotic spirit as security personnel march past at the Red Fort during full dress rehearsal for 79th Independence Day.

Operation Sindoor's success will be celebrated during the Independence Day celebrations. Even the invitation cards this year are carrying the Operation Sindoor logo.
To celebrate the victory of Operation Sindoor, band performances will be conducted not just at the Red Fort but pan-India, for the first time, in the evening on Independence Day. These performances will be conducted by the bands of Army, Navy, Air Force, Indian Coast Guard, NCC, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, BSF, IDS, RPF and Assam Rifles at over 140 locations across the country.
Almost five thousand guests from different walks of life have been invited to witness the I-Day celebrations at the Red Fort this year. These include Indian contingent of Special Olympics 2025, winners of international sports events and gold medallists of Khelo India Para Games.
