CM Yogi, Akshay Kumar discuss U.P. Film City project
CM Yogi assured the actor that the Film City project of U.P. will be at par with global standards. He added that a new film policy is also being prepared.
LUCKNOW Actor Akshay Kumar met Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath in Mumbai on Wednesday. During the half-an-hour-long meeting, Kumar expressed his enthusiasm over U.P’s much-anticipated Film City project. The actor said, “Many big production houses, producers, directors and actors are waiting for the U.P. Film City. The development of world-class film and infotainment city in U.P. will provide a new option to the cinema world.”

CM Yogi assured the actor that the Film City project of U.P. will be at par with global standards. He added that a new film policy is also being prepared. On the occasion, CM Yogi also invited Akshay Kumar to visit Uttar Pradesh.
During the meeting, the U.P. CM also pointed out the important role of cinema in increasing public awareness. Filmmakers should give importance to the issues of social and national consciousness while selecting the subjects, said the CM. Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar told the CM about the research, preparations, and the scientific aspects that were analysed before preparing the script of his recently-released film Ramsetu. He urged the CM to watch the movie.
