The Congress was caught on the wrong foot recently while criticising Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a tweet, in which it mistakenly tagged actor Priyanka Chopra instead of its spokesperson Priyanka Chaturvedi.

The grand old party later deleted the tweet which accused the PM of lying about the soil testing labs, which gives soil health report to the farmers.

“PM Modi is lying about Soil Testing Labs too. During UPA regime there were 1141 Soil testing laboratories: @priyankachopra,” the party tweeted.

The tweet came after Modi accused Congress of neglecting farmers during its rule and only using them as a vote bank.

Soil testing labs are set up to provide farmers with soil health cards, which in turn would help them decide the quality of their products they normally grow.
