The turn of events led the Haryana government to imposing prohibitory orders under section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure in some parts of the state. Peace committee meetings were also held to quell tensions while the leaders have appealed for peace. Gurugram deputy commissioner (DC) Nishant Kumar Yadav issued an order that prohibited all fuel stations from selling loose petrol and diesel “except in emergency situations”.
While the Opposition leaders slammed the Manohar Lal Khattar government for failure of law and order in the state; Home minister Anil Vij termed the violence a ‘well-planned’ conspiracy, ordering a probe Tuesday. The police have lodged at least 40 cases against individuals in the incident and detained more than 100 men for questioning.

Mobile internet, SMS service in parts of Haryana suspended till August 5
The Haryana government on Wednesday said mobile internet and SMS services in Nuh and some other places in the state will remain suspended till August 5 to prevent any disturbance to peace and public order in the wake of the communal clashes.
Besides Nuh, the services will remain snapped in Faridabad, Palwal and the territorial jurisdiction of sub-division Sohna, Pataudi and Manesar of Gurugram district.
The government had ordered the suspension of mobile internet and SMS services in Nuh district from 4 pm on Monday and later imposed the restrictions in some other parts too till August 2 in view of the "intense communal tension" and disturbance of public peace.
Bajrang Dal's protest against Haryana violence seen in Nagpur
Activists of Bajrang Dal on Wednesday staged a protest against Haryana communal violence in Nagpur city of Maharashtra and blamed Pakistan for fomenting the unrest.
Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) leader Govind Shende alleged the annual Shobha Yatra of Bajrang Dal was attacked by members of a minority community in Nuh in Haryana.
He claimed Pakistan was instigating violence by providing arms to the people.
"This is the intelligence failure of the Haryana government," Shende alleged.

“Haryana govt took action over the incident in Mewat. Paramilitary was deployed, and a permanent battalion of IRB is also stationed there. The situation is under control today. Peace meetings have been held, and I believe that all of us should do our duty to maintain peace. More than 40 FIRs have been registered; over 100 people were taken into police custody, and more than 90 people have even been arrested. The government is taking stringent action against those who indulged in vandalism and spreading violence,” deputy CM Dushyant Chautala said.
What CM Manohar Lal Khattar said on Monu Manesar
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Wednesday said the Rajasthan Police is free to act against Bajrang Dal member Monu Manesar, booked in the February killing of two Muslim men and accused by some to be a trigger for the Nuh violence.
Khattar reminded that the last case against Manesar, a cow vigilante, was lodged by the Rajasthan Police.
At a press conference in Chandigarh, the chief minister while fielding questions on the communal violence in Nuh and Gurguram said, “The Rajasthan Police was looking for Monu Manesar. We do not have any input where he is now. The Rajasthan Police is free to act against him."

Mobile internet ban extended by one day in four areas of Rajasthan's Bharatpur
Mobile internet services will remain suspended in four tehsils of Rajasthan's Bharatpur district till Thursday morning in view of the violence in Haryana's Nuh district, officials said.
Prohibitory orders were imposed in two areas of Bharatpur and 10 areas of Alwar district in Rajasthan, they said. Both Alwar and Bharatpur share border with Nuh district in Haryana where communal violence erupted on Monday.
Bharatpur District Collector Lok Bandhu said mobile internet services have been suspended till 6 am on Thursday in Sikri, Pahadi, Kaman, Nagar in Bharatpur. On the other hand, prohibitory orders have been imposed in Kaman and Pahadi, banning any kind of procession or rally in these areas.
He said security force has been deployed at the Bhatarpur-Haryana border where every vehicle is being checked. (PTI)
UP Police on alert: Officials asked to keep reserves in strategic places
"All the officers of the district have been told to do intelligence collection and second, to keep enough reserves in strategic places. Also, all the communally sensitive pockets need to be patrolled effectively... There are some religious events around the corner in Mathura and Ayodhya that are asked to be monitored properly," Prashant Kumar, special DG, law and order, UP Police said.
Amid violence, Haryana govt sanctions land for RAF battalion in Nuh
Nearly five years after the Centre approved a new battalion of the CRPF's anti-riot unit RAF to be based in Nuh, the Haryana government finally sanctioned land for it at a time the district witnessed communal clashes, official sources said on Wednesday.
The sanction to hand over the plot of about 50 acres in Indri village of Nuh to the Rapid Action Force (RAF) came earlier this week, the sources told PTI, adding the land was earmarked but a final declaration on its use by the force was awaited for more than a year.
‘Arrests made after probe’: Haryana Police
All the arrested accused in connection with the violence that broke out in Haryana’s Nuh district, have been arrested on the basis of the investigation, said the Superintendent of Police (SP), Varun Singla on Wednesday.
While briefing the media about the details of the investigation, Singla said that a total of 41 FIRs have been lodged till now.
"Total 41 FIRs have been lodged till now and 116 people have been arrested on the basis of the investigation. We will apply for the police remand of the accused and the process is underway for the proper investigation of the matter,” Singla told the reporters.

National Conference President Farooq Abdullah on Wednesday expressed sadness over Haryana's Nuh incident, and said that whatever happened there was heartbreaking.

Nuh violence: Alert sounded in 3 UP districts bordering Haryana, plainclothes officers on duty
An alert has been sounded in Saharanpur, Shamli and Muzaffarnagar districts of Uttar Pradesh bordering Haryana in the wake of communal violence in the neighbouring state, a senior police official said on Wednesday.

Delhi police beefs up security in the city amid VHP's demonstration against Nuh violence
Amid tight security by the Delhi Police, the VHP and Bajrang Dal on Wednesday staged demonstrations in several parts of the national capital against violence in Haryana.
Carrying saffron-coloured flags and chanting slogans of 'Jai Shri Ram', 'Har Har Mahadev', and 'Vande Mataram', protesters blocked the road at Badarpur border.
The protesters' sit-in on the border caused a long jam, hampering the movement of traffic from Faridabad to Delhi.

Nuh incident: Ensure no hate speech and no violence, SC directs authorities concerned
The Supreme Court on Wednesday directed the authorities concerned to ensure that there is no hate speech against any community and there is no violence or damage to any properties in any protest rallies being organised in the national capital.
The top court did not put any stay on rallies organised by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP). A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and SVN Bhatti passed the direction while hearing an intervening application filed in the matter. The protest rallies are being organised by VHP in the wake of Nuh violence.
Haryana violence: CM seeks 4 more companies of central forces
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on Wednesday sought four more companies of central forces in the wake of communal clashes in the state and said one battalion of the IRB will also be deployed in Nuh.
Twenty companies of central forces are already deployed in Haryana, 14 of them in Nuh, three in Palwal, two in Gurugram and one in Faridabad, he told a press conference.
The chief minister asserted that those found responsible for the clashes will not be spared.

Noida: VHP holds demonstration against Haryana communal clashes, seeks financial aid for victims' kin
The Vishva Hindu Parishad carried out a demonstration in Noida on Wednesday against the communal violence in Haryana and demand monetary aid to the kin of two members of its youth wing Bajrang Dal, who it claimed died in the clash.
The Hindu-right group carried out its demonstration despite the imposition of CrPC Section 144, which prohibits unlawful assembly of more than four people, in the city in Gautam Buddh Nagar district, where security has been stepped up in view of the clashes in the neighbouring state.
