Real Madrid coach and former French football captain Zinedine Zidane and his wife Veronique visited the Taj Mahal on Tuesday.

Clad in a simple white shirt and a cap, Zidane spent around an hour in the white marble mausoleum with his wife, clicking pictures and selfies.


Agra Tourism police escorted the football legend during the visit and he didn’t interact with the media.
Zidane arrived in India on June 9 to a warm reception from a swarm of enthusiastic fans who converged at Mumbai‘s international airport to greet one of the game’s all-time greats.
He was in Mumbai to fulfil a contractual obligation after being named as brand ambassador for a city-based real estate development company.
Zidane was roped in as the brand ambassador of Kanakia Group in May.
Zidane, played a pivotal role in France’s World Cup triumph on home soil in 1998.
