Watch: India says it has destroyed Pakistani posts along LoC, Pak denies claim

The Indian Army said it was engaging in assaults on Pakistani posts that were aiding infiltrators into India. Pakistan said India’s claims were false.

The Indian Army said on Tuesday it has fired at and damaged Pakistani posts along their de-facto border as part of counter-insurgency operations to stop militants from crossing into India.

The army also released what it said was a video of the military action that showed heavy artillery blasting temporary bunkers and shelters on a tree-covered mountain. Army spokesman Maj Gen Ashok Narula said the posts had been targeted “recently, very recently”.

Pakistan military spokesman Maj Gen Asif Ghafoor called the Indian claim “false”.

“Indian claims of destroying Pakistani post along LOC in Naushera Sec and firing by Pak Army on civilians across LOC are false,” tweeted Major General Asif Ghafoor of the Inter-Services Public Relations, the media wing of the Pakistani army.
