Kota Police have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl in city’s Vigyan Nagar area.
Kota Police have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly raping a four-year-old girl in city’s Vigyan Nagar area.
The accused, Dolat Suman, was arrested on Saturday and would be produced before the court on Sunday.
“The victim’s family and the accused share rented rooms in a same building in the locality. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when the accused sneaked into the girl’s room while she was sleeping alone.
“Her mother had gone out to fetch her sister from school and her father was away at work,” circle in-cCharge (CI) of Vigyan Nagar Police Station, Jai Prakesh Beniwal, said.
On a complaint by the girl’s parents, a case against Suman, a resident of Khadipur village in Madhya Pradesh, was lodged, he said
The victim complained of stomach ache in the evening following which her parents took her to a nearby dispensary where the nursing staff disclosed that something wrong has happened with the minor, he said.
A case under Section 376 of the IPC and under sections of POSCO Act was lodged against the accused, the CI said.
