The militants were identified as Gajnafar and Arif, who had been recruited in the Kashmir valley to provoke terror in the Chenab valley region.
The duo, along with another militant Aquib Wahid, was involved in the Wednesday attack that left one SSB man dead and another critically injured.
An AK assault rifle and an Insas rifle, which were snatched from the security forces during the attack, were recovered from their possession.
The arrest is a significant blow to the terror designs of anti-national elements in promoting and supporting terrorism in otherwise peaceful Chenab Valley. Search of the area and further investigations are under progress.
