Watch: Doctors deliver baby amid strong tremors in Kashmir's Anantnag

Earthquake: In India, the tremors were felt across Delhi-NCR region, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana and Chandigarh.

In a commending incident, doctors at a hospital in the Anantnag district of Jammu and Kashmir delivered a baby when a massive 6.5 magnitude earthquake hit the valley and North India late Tuesday night. The baby was delivered through lower-segment cesarean section.

The Chief Medical Officer of Anantnag took to Twitter to share the incident. In a one-minute video shared by the the officer, the medical staff can be seen carrying out their jobs while the room and everything around them were shaking due to the strong tremors.

"Emergency LSCS was going-on at SDH Bijbehara Anantnag during which strong tremors of Earthquake were felt. Kudos to staff of SDH Bijbehara who conducted the LSCS smoothly & Thank God,everything is Alright", the official tweeted along with the video.

At least 11 people died in Afghanistan and Pakistan, while over 100 people were brought to hospitals in the Swat valley region of Pakistan.

The National Centre for Seismology in India said the earthquake hit at 10.17.27 pm local time and the epicentre was "133km south by south east of Fayzabad in northern Afghanistan".
