In her letter to the NCW, Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar and police, the woman from the Ashrafgarh village has alleged that her husband Sandeep used to doubt her character and trouble her.

The couple has a three-year-old daughter.

She said that the village panchayat had given her daughter’s custody to Sandeep and asked him to give her Rs 2.5 lakh.

Sandeep allegedly did not pay her the money and is scheduled to fly to Qatar, where he works as a labourer, later this month, she said.
