13 TRS activists killed in Andhra road accident

Twenty others were also injured when the bus they were travelling in had a head-on collision with a truck.

At least 13 workers of the Telangana Rashtra Samiti were killed and 20 others were injured in a road accident on Saturday, police said.

The bus in which the activists were travelling on their way to Hyderabad had a head-on collision with a truck on the Rajiv Rahdari highway near Prajnapur in Medak district.

Six people died on the spot while seven others succumbed to their injuries in a hospital, police said.

Of the 20 injured, the condition of six was stated to be serious. They were admitted to the Gandhi Hospital.

There were about 50 people in the bus, all supporters of TRS rebel legislator Mukunda Reddy. They were coming from Karimnagar district to join the ruling Congress party.
