In a big haul, security forces found 14 kgs of heroin with a street value of Rs 70 crore from a field along the Indo-Pak border.
The Special Narcotic Cell (SNC) of Punjab police in a joint operation with BSF jointly launched a search operation in Mehndipur village on Indo-Pak border and recovered 14 packets of heroin last evening, officials said on Thursday.
SNC official said Pakistani smugglers had concealed the drug in the field so that Indian peddlers could retrieve it.
