15-year-old raped in J&K, accused arrested
A 15-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a youth in Noushera belt of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, police said.
A 15-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and raped by a youth in Noushera belt of Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district, police said on Monday.
A youth named Bittu kidnapped the girl yesterday from a village and took her to Patradi forest in Noushera division where he allegedly raped her in an abandoned house, they said.
The girl returned home early this morning and reported the matter to police, they said.
Bittu was arrested after a brief search in the area, they said, adding that the girl is being sent for medical examination.
A case of kidnapping and rape has been registered against Bittu.
In another case, police arrested a man and his three sons for allegedly killing one Satpal Singh at Gurha Slathia in Samba district, a police official said.
The man identified as Rattan Singh and his sons -- Charanjit Singh, Paramjit Singh and Ram Singh-- who had gone underground after the murder last week, were apprehended on Sunday from a hide-out in Samba, they said.
Rattan's sons had stabbed Satpal following a quarrel.
