Two people including a minor was killed in road accident in Srinagar's Boulevard area on Saturday. The deceased have been identified as Mohammad Ashraf Hafiz of Brain in Nishat and a ten-year-old boy, Nadeem Ahmad Chapri. While Hafiz died on the spot, the boy was declared dead after arrival in hospital.

According to a police spokesman, the accident happened late on Saturday evening when a CRPF gypsy, a private vehicle and a motorcycle collided.
"In an accident at Boulevard road Srinagar involving a Swift car, a gypsy of CRPF and a Hero Pulsar, one person Mohammed Ashraf Hafiz, son of Mohammad Sultan Hafiz resident of Brain Nishat and a pedestrian Nadeem Ahmad Chapri lost their lives today evening,'' a police spokesman said.
Police have lodged an FIR and the drivers of the Gypsy and Swift car have been arrested. The accident triggered protests against the forces and protesters set ablaze the CRPF vehicle. The police, however, managed to quell the protests.
