2 officials killed in collision between goods train, trolley in MP

Two railway officers were killed on Friday and two others suffered injuries in a head-on collision between a goods train and a push trolley, used for inspecting tracks, close to Biohari station, near in Shahdol, officials said.

Two railway officers were killed on Friday and two others suffered injuries in a head-on collision between a goods train and a push trolley, used for inspecting tracks, close to Biohari station, near in Shahdol, officials said.

"Among the eight persons in the trolley, four jumped off it after noticing the goods trains coming from the opposite side, close to Biohari station of Jabalpur division, West Central Railways," officials added.

Assistant Divisional Engineer AK Vaishnav and Section Engineer Fardeen Khan died on the spot while Ramesh Patel and Haridas Patel were rushed to a civil hospital.

Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Alok Dave and other senior officers, have rushed to Shahdol from Jabalpur after receiving information about the collision, officials said.
