Gurwinder Singh, Ranjot Singh and Virender were arrested by a special investigation team of police last night from Shahbad area of Kurukshetra, IGP Ambala Range, said while addressing a press conference here.
The 16-year-old girl, a student of class 12, was kidnapped on May 4 by some persons near Jindal Chowk, Sector 2, Kurukshetra.
Later her body was found from a drain in Ramba village of the district, the IGP said.
People in Kurukshetra had closed their shops and commercial establishments on May 25 protesting the failure of police in arresting the culprits responsible for the heinous crime.
Nine teams of investigators, drawn from various districts of Ambala Range, were formed to investigate the case, the IGP said.
