4 killed in car-bus collision near Tiruchi

Four persons, including three members of a family, were killed when their car and a State Express Transport Corporation bus collided near in Tiruchirappalli today.

Police said Prabhu (35), his wife Lakshmi (30), and car driver Velmurugan (27) were killed on the spot, while Prabhu's son Naveen Kumar (6) died on the way to hospital.

The victims were on way to Madurai while the bus was proceeding to Chennai from Thiruvananthapuram when the mishap occurred at Samayapuram, six km from in Tiruchirappalli.
