45 more BTS to improve BSNL services

GM BSNL DP Mishra claimed that department was determined to solve the network problems and with this objective in mind, the department had decided to install 45 Basic Transmission Switch (BTS) in Gorakhpur district in the urban areas, 17 BTS would be installed in rural areas, whereas 28 towers will be installed in Gorakhpur and Maharajganj district.

GM BSNL DP Mishra claimed that department was determined to solve the network problems and with this objective in mind, the department had decided to install 45 Basic Transmission Switch (BTS) in Gorakhpur district in the urban areas, 17 BTS would be installed in rural areas, whereas 28 towers will be installed in Gorakhpur and Maharajganj district.

Talking to mediapersons, Mishra said 20 towers had been installed and we were waiting only for electricity connection in these towers. These 20 towers would be functional by the end of October. The department had launched several attractive schemes. The basic telephones are now available on demand in the department and no registration fee would be charged.

He said Rs 500 would be charged from the applicant for STD facility.
