The incident was reported around 9:00pm on Monday from the Group Centre-II when head constable Dharamveer Singh was found hanging in his room, officials said.

They said Singh, a resident of Haryana, had been reportedly suffering from a psychiatric illness for some time.

“A Court of Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the reasons for Singh taking the extreme step. The local police has registered a case,” a senior official said.
