5 lakh looted from liquor agency staff

Armed miscreants robbed employees of a liquor agency of Rs 5 lakh on Wazir Hasan Road in Hazratganj late on Wednesday night, reports HT Correspondent.

Armed miscreants robbed employees of a liquor agency of Rs 5 lakh on Wazir Hasan Road in Hazratganj late on Wednesday night.

The robbers also snatched the gun of the guard escorting the employees, who were on the way to the agency after collecting cash from different outlets. Though a police outpost is barely 200 yards away from the spot of the incident, the cops managed to reach the spot only after an hour .

The incident took place when robbers intercepted the jeep in which agency’s manager, Bacholey Jaiswal along with a private armed guard Upendra Yadav were travelling reached Wazir Hasan Road.

As the vehicle slowed down, four of the miscreants held Jaiswal and the guard at gunpoint. They snatched the bag containing cash from Jaiswal and the double barrel gun from the guard. Jaiswal told the police that the robbers walked away from the place with the booty. The agency was owned by Prateek Jaiswal.
