529 booths identified as "sensitive" in Faridkot

Some 529 polling booths in Punjab's Faridkot constituency, where SAD chief Parkash Singh Badal's son Sukhbir Singh Badal is locked in an electoral battle with Chief Minister Amarinder Singh's daughter-in-law Karan Brara, have been identified as sensitive, an official said.

The administrative machinery of three districts of Moga, Faridkot and Muktsar falling in the constituency has geared up for smooth and peaceful conducts of elections scheduled May 10.

As many as 12,61,371 electorates of the constituency will exercise their franchise, Hussan Lal, Deputy Commissoner Faridkot, who is the returning officer of the Faridkot Lok Sab ha constituency said after reviewing the arrangements with the returning electoral officer of all the three districts.

Special security forces will be deployed for smooth and peaceful polling at the booths identified as sensitive.
