7 children injured after bus hits Noida schoolbus

Seven children were injured when a private bus collided with a schoolbus in Noida’s Sector- 6 on Thursday morning, police said.

The bus, which belongs to Saraswati Shishu Mandir School, was carrying 14 children when the accident took place. All of them are students from Classes II, III and IV.

Vikas, a Class II student who had who had to undergo plastic surgery, said: “As I was sitting in the front, I hit the rod in front.” His brother Arvind was also injured. Except Vikas, the rest of the students were discharged after first aid

Conductor Ram Kewal, who suffered injuries on his right hand, said: “As were turning into a side lane near the mint, a speeding private bus hit us. Driver Dinesh Yadav was also injured. The other driver fled.”

Principal Yash Pal Singh said the school had lodged a complaint against the private bus at Sector 20 police station.

“The accused bus driver is still absconding till late evening,” said SHO P K Shukla.
